The Ansley Sofa is classic American with pinpoint design and style. The antiqued, distressed midnight blue leather will match virtually any décor and color scheme. You will find the comfort and pitch of the Ansley to be simply perfect.
Ansley features diamond stitching on the seat and back, pewter nail head accents on the arm fronts and tapered black wooden legs.
Frame:
The wooden frame is composed of beech wood and ash. These woods are selected at source and seasoned for a minimum of 2 years to ensure long term durability. All of the corners and load bearing areas the frame are additionally secured with heavy duty corner blocks to add to the strength and durability.
Suspension Unit:
The suspension unit is constructed of heavy duty 9 gauge, sinuous spring steel. These “S” shaped steel springs are fastened to the top of the front rail and run from the front to the back of the piece two inches apart. Pembroke uses five steel springs per seat to ensure the strength, comfort and durability of the foam cushion core. Two solid wooden stretchers run front to back to stabilize and strengthen the frame against the tension of the steel sinuous springs. This adds to the strength of the frame itself.
Leather – (ALL TOP GRAIN ALL OVER):
The leather is SEMI ANILINE DYED. This means that the leather is colored thru and thru and does possess a light protective coat of polyurethane on the surface of the leather. YOU WILL NOTICE ALL DISTINCT VARIATIONS IN THIS LEATHER INCLUDING COLOR VARIATION AND ALL OF THE NATURAL MARKINGS. You will notice some color variation and grain variations between each piece and sometimes within the same piece. These are natural characteristics and should not be considered defects.
Cushions & Seating:
The seat cushions are LOOSE and are composed of polyurethane foam cores with a high quality, DACRON topper for comfort. You will find the density of the seat cushions will vary from 2.0 to 2.3. This is a unit of measurement of the number of porous holes in the cushion. The standard quality in our industry would be 1.8. The back cushions are FIXED and are composed of Dacron fiber which is blown by computer into vertically and horizontally channeled bags. This ensures that the proper amount of Dacron is blown in the same every time.
